There is nothing scientific of theoretical in this post, it is just sharing an aesthetic feeling. Maybe pointing sources for future developments.

In the last year we had the opportunity of spending a couple of nights strolling around the Naturhistorishes Museum in Vienna. Among zebras, salamanders and gnus we were totally stunned by the beauty of the subaqueous section.

A number of dry organisms are collected here, which nevertheless display a common feature: material organizations of extreme elegance and lightness. These formations, evolved in a liquid environment, still as dry conserve a floating presence, at the evanescent border between a solid and a fluid state of matter. An ephemeral seduction, frozen in time.
